Students write about what they do for the environment and their goals for a better environment (advanced)

Planning:

- Check out the website, "Was jeder tun kann", from the sites listed above.

- Find out what you can do and collect vocabulary words and structures.

- Make a list in German of things that Germans (see also Komm Mit 1, Kapitel 7, Landeskunde, pg. 197), you, your family and your friends do, can do (können), must do (müssen), plan to do (wollen), should do (sollen), and would like to do ("möchte") at different places and at different times to help the environment.

- Indicate how often they and you do those things

Be sure to include issues such as transportation, energy ("das Licht ausmachen", "nicht lange duschen", "die Temperatur regeln"), and shopping.

Advanced students also make an additional list of goals how to improve on different areas that effect the environment using comparative forms of adjectives and how they can be achieved

Writing:

- Write to your virtual friend in a minimum of 100 (140) words about the environment ("ich schreibe über die Umwelt") and ask him/her, what he/she specifically does for the environment and what his goals, "Ziele" and dreams, "Träume" (advanced) are.

- Be sure to include all the auxiliary verbs (wollen, können, müssen, sollen,  möchten) 

- Include clauses that express two or more of the following: a concession (obwohl), a reason (weil), a condition (wenn), and an opinion or fact (dass). Note: in those clauses the verb goes last

- be sure to include 3 related questions
