- read the selection about "Sommerzeit ist Grillzeit" in the Reader, Lies mit mir

- follow the links above and read about "Grillen in Deutschland" with special attention to customs and vocabulary; take notes and copy important words and phrases into "Wortschatz"

- is "Grillen" very different from the U.S.? Do you notice similarities?

- make a list of items you usually cook on a grill;

- list, under what circumstances and at what time you usually barbecue;

- who does the cooking

Schreiben:

Write 100 words (advanced 120 words) about your barbecue habits, include comparisons to Germany using "aber" (but) and "auch" (also)

include 3 related questions.
