Advanced German students write a summary of the "Sage" in their own words, "auf deutsch" in 140 words in "historical Present tense".

Plan:

- check the recommended websites

- study the poem and understand the plot

- read about the entire story

- jot down key words in German

Write:

- using your notes, write the story in your own words; include the setting

- include 3 questions

Memorize:

- listen to the poem in various versions with and without music, reading along the text

- read the poem aloud to each other numerous times, leaving words and phrases out to let each other guess

- do the Flash Cards

 Perform:

- decide on a format: music or not, kind of music, no props

- perform in small groups of 4 -6 students

- record on video

The also memorize the song, and perform a mini-play.
