Grades:
In order to become and remain members, students have to maintain at least a B average in advanced German classes (2nd half of German II and up). They also must attend meetings regularly and be a member of the German Club in good standing.
Points:
In order to graduate with GNHS honors, students need to attain 45 points.
In order to receive points, students have to be an active member in the German Club and the GNHS.

Finances:
There is a onetime $ 5 membership fee. In addition to that there needs to be an annual fundraiser to help finance awards ( cords = $ 10).
Officers:
All officers are elected before the end of the previous school year.
The President or Vice-President must call all meetings and present an agenda. He/ she must also send a summary report to National AATG about activities including a membership roster.
The secretary or an officer in the GNH must be present at all meetings and keep accurate records of points by grade level and events.
