Slaves in ancient Rome

Students design a 10 frame (incl. title and source frame) or MS Powerpoint or MS Publisher 3-fold about the history and lives of slaves in Rome. They focus on one famous slave and describe his/her life and claim to fame.

Plan:

• research slavery in Rome and explain
  • how did they become slaves
  • what were their tasks
  • what were their rights/duties
  • could they become free men/women
  • could they become citizens of Rome
• save 8 illustrations
• find 3 famous slaves and describe their lives

• write texts for your presentation frame by frame (only include titles); be sure to use your own words.
• MS Publisher: Make a 3 fold
• Yodio/MS Powerpoint/MS Photostory: record the narration frame by frame and align narration with pictures.
