Students write about their house/apartment after studying Discovering French Bleu I, Lesson 13

Draw a sketch of your house. Label the rooms including the definite articles. Describe in as much detail as possible using adjectives.

Take notes on the location of your house/apartment ( "au centre ville", "en banlieue" près du lycée) and list adjectives that describe its size, character, etc.

Take notes on rooms:

• list whether they are "en haut" or "en bas"
• describe the rooms with adjectives and include what you do in some of the rooms, as long as you can express it with words and structures you already (should) know
• include which rooms you like

Write:

write to your imaginary friend about your house with all the information you have collected.

Include

• definite/indefinite articles ( also things you do not have: "pas de"), include  possessives ( "ma / mon/ mes") and pronouns ("il/elle/on")
• the expressions "mais" and "aussi
• adjectives
• the adverbs "très", "assez"
• the construction "il y a" (there is / there are)

Compare your room to the rooms of others in your house, such as:

"la chambre de mon frère / de ma soeur / de mon père / de ma mère / de mes parents  est plus grande/petite que ma chambre."
