Une Invitation

your French pal is coming to visit you for a week. Write an invitation in 100 words.

Plan:

• Explore the recommended links.

• Make a daily calendar listing things

  • you want to do, "je veux",

  • things you would like to do, "je voudrais",

  • things you have to do, "je dois",

  • and things you can do, "je peux/ nous pouvons".

• Include places you have learned about, such as "en ville", au restaurant", "au lycée", "à la maison", "au cinéma", ...

• Be sure to ask him/her about his/her choices and wishes.

• Use time expressions you have learned recently.

To suggest activities, also include things your friends do. Be sure to include some comparisons and contrasts to activities French people do; see recommended links.

Also refer to previous Journals, such as "Vive le Weekend", Ma Semaine", and "Ma Journée", for vocabulary and phrases.
